Milan Fashion Week- Gorgio Armani fall 2012

I must say this was one of the collection that surprised me in a pleasant way too. i was really expecting all the pretty gown, the oscar kinda thingy but instead out came Armani with his girls strolling out all decked like a man. It was different and beautiful. I love the suits , the shorts, styling with the hats tilted to the side,  loved the colors- pink and orange and those lovely sequin above the knee gowns worn over the shorts.

Milan Fashion Week- Roberto Cavalli

This is called catch up, beter late than ever, Milan fashion week is gone and we are all set for Paris. I will be posting pieces from some of the designers  whose designs blew me away at the MFW. I will be starting with Roberto Cavalli. In his show, more was more really, layers were thrown upon each other, textures were mixed and matched and they all came out beautifully. There was an ease about the clothes, not serious yet not to be forgotten. Lots of attitiude and spunk.. The clincher on it was how Super Model Naomi Campbell closed the show. So much attitude!!! Only Naomi could have pulled that off. Hopefully another super model will walk in Paris yeah?

OvertheTop- Four years after, Joan Smalls Covers Vogue Italia March 2012

The last time  a person of color covered Vogue Italia was in 2008 with their famous black edition. I am really happy for Joan. She looked simply gorgeous, the styling was over the top with the high brow, the colorful eye make up, the nail art, large earrings, all set against the printed brocade D&G jacket with jeweled button and top embroidered with beads and crystals. Seriously i don’t think everyone could pull this look as beautifully as she did. Photo was by Steven Meisel

Oh my! Those eyes! Actress and mother of four Omotola Jalade Ekeinde covers this moth’s issue tagged “The Age Issue”  Their choice of Omotola for this cover is very apt. This cover shows her looking very sultry with her tussled hair, smoky eye and nude lips. She has a very beautiful face and i like that this cover chooses to focus on  that.

Also featured in the inside story is Kate Henshaw looking oven fresh even in her forties, Newly weds Hauwa and Keziah were also featured, they talk about their love story, marriage and style. I love their personal style so i am very thrilled with this. Loads of exciting fashion features. It is in stores around you already, Get yours.

Angelina Jolie’s Right leg makes headlines

Paparazzi can be real funny, right now it is all about Angelina Jolie’s right legs. That leg is so popular right now, it has a twitter account, @angiesrightleg. You could check it out. LMAO! She attended thee Oscar wearing this lovely Atelier Versace Black high slit gown and Angie made sure she took advantage of every opportunity she got to flaunt her right legs. Her poses were quite epic and i must i admit i couldnt help but notice them my self while going through the Oscar pictures. Here are some of the pictures with her epic poses. Oscar 2012 ; the Glitz and Glamorous

Oscar 2012!!! < drum rolls are appropriate here> The moment finally arrived and yeah, there were some pretty surprises like the Angelina Jolie pose, Woah!!! Meryl Streep stunning in Gold Lanvin gown , i was pleasantly surprised , Michelle Williams dazzling Coral gown. Jennifer Lopez almost baring it all, Lol ! No mishap as the gown was perfectly taped. It was an exciting night and as usual, i will be posting pictures of my favorites. Let me know who your favorites are too. I just always love the Oscars. The Oscar parties were even more fab, Watch this space for what the pretty birds wore to parry!!
