jessica-sanchez-american-idol-2013-finale-muehleder-beige-florence-spiked-dress-1The strappy sandals are the rave this season. They are awesome for both daytime and night time event. They can be dressed up or dressed down. They are uber chic. They come in different colors and designs but ultimately they are very minimalist. Fashionistas are on board this trend, they cant seem to get enough of it. Designers from Gucci to Guiseppe Zannotti, Manolo Blahnik have all put their spin on it  and ofcourse our favorite high street brands such Zara, HM, Asos too. I could go on and on but I am just going to let the pictures do the talk.Athletic Wear for a Night Out Continue reading »

What I wore- Double Denim et Peplum affair

???????????????????????????????If you love Peplums as much as I do and find a peplum top in denim, you don’t think, you just go ahead and grab it. I have my fears with belle bottom pants, I mean I love that fashion but I always feel like it’s a bit risque for a petite and thick girl like me. That said I don’t believe you cannot not wear anything, I think its just about finding ways to make it work for your body. What I have learned over time is that I could risqué it but WITH HEELS. Its got to have an extra length to it and worn with heels to give the illusion of height. Whaddayathink?IMG_1579I would have gone for a pump to give the look that extra oomph but this day was all about running around for me and since I cannot change into my trusted flats, I had to go for my trusted and extremely comfortable wedge sandals.??????????????????????????????? I am still loving me some more and more neon! Remember when i gushed about the Karen Ubani’s new collection here. I gushed on the Satin wide legged pant but after I got it, I didnt like the fit. I hit her up and she offered to have them changed. The moment I set my eyes on this neon prints straight pants I fell hard, I mean its got Neon green prints? Its high waisted and very budget friendly too! Whats not to  love? I knew the moment I tried on the pant that when I do wear it, I want to play up the neon. In other news, my sister is so utterly sick of how I go on and on on these neon thingy. Lol!?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Continue reading »

What I wore- Oversized Camo Tee + Avon bag

IMG_1547

Oh Gawd! I look super stressed in these photos but I absolutely love the pairing of the carmo top and army green shirt and the clash with the red shoes and bags so I hit post! Wore those to wok last week but just getting to update it.???????????????????????????????

That skirt was part of the skirts I scored from my last thrifting ventures . I am really good at this thrifting thingy if I must say so myself so good that I now thrift for sale :D . The skirt was initially sold to a colleague against my better judgement so when she returned it, I did not bother to convince her on the awesomeness of the skirt, I just grabbed it as I could already see me pairing it with so many tops in my wardrobe the first of which is this oversized Camo Tee, the boo got me a while ago. The moment I wore those two, the Avon bag automatically popped to mind, the rest I say is in the pictures. ??????????????????????????????? Continue reading »

Stumbled upon this week…

Tags

Back in the days, I always used to have the Radio tuned in, the radio set when at home, my phone when I am out and so was very current when it came to Music both Nigerian and foreign. Lately though I don’t know nothing, on my way to and from work I just want to meditate, working in Lagos is so chaotic I am always in search of some quiet, my free time both at home and work, I throw into fashion, checking out other blogs and updating mine. So these days, my encounter with music is usually done via my fave blogs.

So I was checking out Linda Ikeji today to find out what I have missed out on lately, you know news and gossips around the country. I like to check out Linda’s blog atleast once a week, truth is asides the gossips and the hilarious comments on her blog, girl keeps you updated on almost everything happening around the globe. I came across this – “The Chronicle of ‘Sean Tizzle’ Episode one by Sean Tizzle” Nice concept, I likey ee! Apparently this song is a major hit! The tune is so so catchy. Sho lee? Ko lee which translates Was it hard? No it wasnt. This documentary is cool with all all the hot dudes in it. I love my Naija dudes mehn anyway spurred on by this documentary I dug up the song and haven’t stopped moving to it since and ofcourse as with me when I stumble on my music, I wanna share. You cant keep a good music to yourself.

Asides Fashion, I really really love Poetry. Words hold and always will hold a great fascination with me, I am always intrigued by word construction, the many things you could do with words, the many places words can take you especially when packed in a poem. I actually used to write poems back in the days too. I really don’t know whats gone wrong with me but I certainly need to get me back. I decided to check out one of my followers blog – http://www.evelinagalli.com and came across this awesome perfume Ad by Prada which features the poem Thunder Perfect Mind- This poem is a classic! It was discovered recently in 1945 to be precise but has been found to date as far back as 350 C.E and believed to originate from Alexandria (Old Egypt).  Its such a beautiful poem centred on the divinity of the female nature expressed in striking paradoxical statements, the words captivates your senses, keeps you tuned in as you follow the adventures of the beautiful Daria Werbowy around the city looking gorgeous in Prada.
